About

The Cloudyskies Observatory is located south of Billings MT on the top of the hills enabling unrestricted imaging from East to South to West to North, and everything in-between.  Housed in a 12’ Astrohaven clam-shell dome, the telescope equipment is protected from the elements.

The equipment is mounted atop a 30,000 pount concrete pad/pillar that extends 8 feet above the surface to an isolated 20’ x 20’ platform.  The equipment is stable enough it can image deep space for tens of millions of light years from earth without vibration.  As they say, do the math.  A small vibration here will be significant out in space!
